  • MECHANICAL DESIGN

    Our team provides mechanical design services in the commercial, institutional, emergency response, health care and long-term care, industrial, and low to mid-rise residential clients. Using building information modelling (BIM) we  deliver coordinated designs by collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams during the design process. This minimizes on-site revisions that can potentially represent a significant percentage of construction costs.  Finally, with mechanical systems being one of the largest energy consumers in buildings, we understand the importance that an energy efficient design has in the building’s life cycle and its impact on the environment. Our mechanical design services include HVAC systems, heating and cooling central plants,  plumbing and fire protection.

  • PRIME CONSULTING

    Gained through many years of experience, we have the skills set to provide Prime Consulting services to our valued clients.   The Ontario Building Code allows engineers to act as prime consultants for certain types of construction projects.   This means we are not only responsible for the design documents, we also engage the sub-consultants, apply for the building permit, prepare contract documents as a third party, certify payments, provide site reports, and on-site construction administration.  Once the project is finished, we ensure close out documents are completed by the contractor.

  • REALITY CAPTURE

    Using the state-of-the-art technology trends and equipment we provide reality capture services, also known as high accuracy mapping, for the built environment. Through LiDAR scanning we produce a virtual representation of as-is conditions for our clients in a 3D environment allowing us to go from site to BIM and BIM to site. Our clients have used this information to help them plan for renovations and alterations to their facilities as well as producing as-built drawings as part of their construction  contract deliverables.

  • BUILDING INVESTIGATIONS

    Problem solving takes a rational approach and we have a proven method for it.    It forces us to look closely at tell-tale building mechanical system symptoms and rationalize the probable causes.   Not jumping to conclusions early on is an important step.  Looking at the symptoms with a critical eye and asking important “What, Where, When”, and even “Is Not” questions is the key to successfully solving building problems.
